The Kids Bike Trade UP is an event that allows families to try out and trade in old bikes in exchange for refurbished bikes donated to our charity, Youth en Route.
Youth en Route found that Kids’ bikes only see a short window of use before they are outgrown. Too often, bikes that aren’t used or maintained become harder to repair and end up in Calgary’s Landfills. To reduce waste, make biking more accessible, and to encourage more youth to ride, Youth en Route started the Kids Bike Trade UP. The Kids Bike Trade UP gives families the opportunity to exchange ill-fitting bikes for a more suitably sized bike for their kids at no charge. So, if you are looking for a bigger bike for your child, this program is for you.
You can now trade up your bike during opening hours at the new Calgary Bike Hub, at 320A 65 AVE SE Calgary. We have a detailed Hours and Location page.
